AirAsia Offers Promotional Fares to Manado in Support of TIFF 2025

Airline explores long-term partnership with Tomohon City Government to boost tourism sector.

EN | Sulut24.com, TOMOHON - AirAsia Indonesia has announced it will offer promotional fares for flights to Manado during the 2025 Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF), in a move aimed at supporting North Sulawesi’s flagship tourism event.

The initiative was revealed during a meeting between AirAsia Indonesia’s management and Tomohon Mayor Caroll Joram Azarias Senduk on Wednesday (9 July 2025).

“This partnership is a strategic effort to boost tourist arrivals to Tomohon,” Mayor Senduk said following the meeting.

The delegation was led by Capt. Akhmad Maulana, Director of Flight Operations at AirAsia Indonesia, who reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to becoming an official partner of TIFF 2025.

In addition to offering special fares, the airline is exploring a long-term collaboration with the Tomohon City Government. This includes corporate fare agreements for civil servants and tourism promotion through AirAsia’s media platforms.

AirAsia also plans to develop integrated travel packages for visitors attending the festival.

Other AirAsia representatives present at the meeting included Eddy Krismeidi (Head of Indonesia Affairs and Policy), Agustina Putra (Station Manager), Ageng Laksono (Corporate Communication Manager), and Sunu Arditya (Government Relations Manager).

TIFF is one of North Sulawesi’s annual international-scale events, attracting thousands of domestic and international tourists. The 2024 edition drew over 100,000 visitors, according to the North Sulawesi Tourism Agency.

Garuda Indonesia has also expressed interest in becoming an official airline partner for TIFF 2025. With AirAsia joining the fold, competition among carriers to support regional tourism is expected to intensify. (fn)
